INTRODUCTIONS

Have you ever woken-up thinking, “what am I doing with my life?” well we did , and what happen next? We bought a B&B in amazing Sedona. We were living in Mesa, Arizona – Mark (originally from Pittsburgh, PA) was writing an American History Book, after spending time as a Social Studies High School Teacher, Carrie (originally from Las Cruces, NM) was traveling the friendly skies (this was before baggage charges, thank goodness) as an SAP and Oracle Solution Engineer and Margi (short for Margarita Rox) our lovable Black Lab/Border Collie/Newfie mix was just hang-in. It was time for a change! Went on the internet, searched on “Sedona B&B for sale”, up came the Cozy Cactus……………..and the rest is history.

WHY AREN’T WE A MEMBER
OF PREMIER BED AND BREAKFAST
OF SEDONA?

Many of you have asked why we don’t belong to the “marketing group” known as the Premier Bed and Breakfast of Sedona, so let us tell you why! When we bought the B&B in 2008, we made the decision not to have the main living room open 24 hours a day……. and that did it – —–the Cozy Cactus could no longer be part of the marketing group known as Premier Bed and Breakfast of Sedona. All five of our rooms have private outside entrances, and we have over eight separate sitting areas on the back patios (umbrellas and heaters provided), two of the rooms have their own living rooms and the other three rooms either have a couch or chairs. We open up the main living room early in the morning and close it right before we go to bed….Margarita our lovable pooch just wouldn’t understand someone walking in at 3:00am in the morning.

TripAdvisor (based on guest reviews “your reviews”) consistently has us ranked in the “Top 5″ – currently 4th out of 32 Sedona B&B’s. Where as TripAdvisor has all but three of the “Premier” B&B’s ranked below us including those ranked 17th, 18th, 19th, 22nd, 26th and 29th. So, though we don’t officially belong to the marketing group which “calls themselves Premier”…WE PROMISE, TO GIVE EACH OF OUR GUEST A PREMIER EXPERIENCE, IN A PREMIER SETTING WITH PREMIER MEMORIES. BIRTH OF OUR BLOG
HELLO COZY CACTUS NATION!

T- minus 10…9…8…7…6… we have ignition…3…2…1… we have lift off. TIME OUT! This is the birth of our BLOG, not rocket science.

Since we seem to have so much time between breakfast makin, laundryin, room cleanin, administratin, conciergin and occasionally sleepin, we thought, “let’s reserve some time to keep in touch with our friends”: old, new and soon to be… (and along with being in touchin we’ll be informin) through this incredibly new cyber technology. OK maybe not so new! (Carrie knew about it ….. it’s new to Mark)
